What we do

EDUCATE & EMPOWER

YWCA Tri-County Area improves social determinants of health, by building capacity through public, private, and nonprofit partnerships aimed at improving educational outcomes, increasing equity, reducing barriers to access, and empowering historically underserved and marginalized communities. Our investments and interventions improve systemic disparities and revitalize communities.

YW3CA builds mission-centered solutions that respond to challenging needs. We work to dismantle common barriers faced by women, girls, families and people of color as they work to develop and sustain better lives.

We invite you to participate, enroll and engage. Together, we can make a difference!

Educational Services

YW3CA enhances upward mobility by prioritizing equitable practices, trauma-responsive care, evidence-based curriculum, education, prevention, social services, workforce development, training, and inclusive advocacy. Our comprehensive strategy supports and empowers communities, fostering positive change. We facilitate access to resources through a life course approach, catalyzing transformation in low-opportunity zones into high-mobility areas.

Community Services

As a sister association of one of the oldest and largest women's organizations in the country, YW3CA has worked collaboratively for over a century to address pressing social issues, voting and civil rights, affordable housing, quality child care access, gender-based violence, and health care reform.

Social Enterprise

YW3CA recognizes the transformative potential of innovative ventures that employ entrepreneurial strategies to address societal challenges. These initiatives create both economic and social value, tackling issues like food insecurity and access to secure and innovative workplaces. Collaborating with such ventures, we aim to foster resilience and inclusivity, cultivating sustainable change within our communities.
