Every October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, YWCAs across the country come together to recognize Week Without Violence (WWV), YWCA USA's signature national campaign dedicated to raising awareness, inspiring action, and advancing solutions to end gender-based violence.

As part of this nationwide movement, YWCA Tri-County Area joins local YWCAs and community partners across the United States in fostering conversations, education, and advocacy efforts that promote safety, dignity, and healing for all.

In 2026, YWCA USA's Week Without Violence campaign centers around an important topic, Rising Together: Centering Young Voices to End Gender-Based Violence. This focus highlights a critical reality: young people are disproportionately impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual assault, grooming, and exploitation, yet their voices are too often absent from conversations about prevention, healing, and systemic change. Throughout the week, YWCA Tri-County Area will create opportunities for community members, advocates, survivors, and young people to come together, learn from one another, and help build a future free from violence.
