Kelly’s Journey at YW3CA: From Coordinator to Cheif Officer

This year marks a significant milestone for YW3CA’s Chief Mission Impact Officer, Kelly Grosser. We wanted to take a moment to shine a light on the exceptional dedication of individuals like Kelly, whose 15 years of service have played a pivotal role in molding our unwavering commitment to fostering employee excellence and engagement.

Kelly joined YW3CA in September 2008 as the Healthy Choices Coordinator when Youth Empowerment Programs were still in their early stages. Kelly played a pivotal role in shaping YEP into what it is today. “After only a month, we offered her the chance to be the Girls Today Leaders Tomorrow Facilitator in addition to her Healthy Choices Coordinator role, which she accepted” added Sarah Stump, Director of Mission Engagement. Kelly went on to become the Youth Empowerment Director and where she played a vital role in developing programs for youth in Pottstown.

In Kelly’s role as CMIO, she oversees several key departments and initiatives, including Youth Empowerment, Advocacy, Unite to Heal PA, Foster Grandparents, AmeriCorps VISTA, and Trauma and Prevention Services.

During Kelly’s 15-year tenure at YW3CA, we’ve encountered and conquered numerous challenges while seizing opportunities for growth. In recent years, the global pandemic and its economic repercussions affected our dedicated 90+ employees and the broader community. Nevertheless, these trials have catalyzed our resilience, prompting us to adapt and evolve. We’ve maintained our unwavering commitment to staff development and pivoted to address the evolving needs of our community, ensuring our organization remains a dynamic force for positive change amid adversity.

Our dedicated team diligently strives to ignite inspiration in classrooms, provide wholesome meals, support those at risk of eviction, actively engage the public, and drive our mission forward. This is precisely why we’ve extended our benefits, introduced fresh avenues for professional growth, and maintained a steadfast dedication to our cause. Our commitment remains unwavering: to foster dignity for all, facilitate education and empowerment, and foster personal growth, one employee at a time.
