YWCA Tri-County Area Partners with PECO and United Way on $10 Million Energy Relief Fund

At YWCA Tri-County Area, we’re committed to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Through a range of programs and services, the YWCA strives to create a more inclusive and equitable society. That’s why we’re proud to partner with PECO and United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey in the PECO Customer Relief Fund.

What is the PECO Customer Relief Fund?

The PECO Customer Relief Fund is a $10 million energy relief program that directly supports eligible households with funds they need to pay their utility bills. Through this initiative, families can receive financial assistance to reduce overdue electric bills, helping them stay safe, warm, and connected. At YWCA Tri-County Area, we help guide applicants through the process so they can access the support they need.

Who This Program Helps

PECO’s energy relief program supports hardworking households who may not meet the qualifications for traditional low-income assistance programs but still struggle to pay their bills. The program assists PECO Customers with incomes between 151% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level and arrears of up to $2,500. Qualifying households can receive up to a $500 credit toward an overdue utility balance, helping families stay safe and warm without the fear of disconnection.

Please note: Customers who already qualify for traditional low-income energy assistance programs are not eligible for this particular fund.

How to Apply

Eligible families can apply for a $500 credit at peco.com/relief or email PECOGrant@ywcatricountyarea.org with any questions. PECO offers limited funds for this program, which runs until December 31, 2025, so we encourage eligible households to apply quickly.
